studio van oort is a design studio based in Breda, the Netherlands, specializing in handmade furniture, -design and production. 

And when I say handmade, I mean handmade. Everything begins in the workshop, shaped with care and built to last. The approach is slow, deliberate, and personal — with a focus on honest materials, fine details, and a quiet sense of presence.

After graduating as a furniture maker from HMC Rotterdam, I continued exploring what design means to me. The goal is simple: to create timeless furniture with character — one piece at a time.

Good design, to me, is calm and considered. It doesn’t try to impress, it simply feels right, and earns its place over time.
